Installation Notes
⏱ Estimated Time: 10–15 minutes · 🛠 Difficulty: Beginner
- Ensure the vehicle interior is at room temperature — avoid installation in cold conditions below 10°C, as this can reduce initial adhesive tack.
- Clean the existing rear reading light surround thoroughly using the included prep wipe or isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
- Dry-fit the frame over the surround to confirm alignment and orientation. Note which edge sits toward the front of the vehicle.
- Peel back the protective film from the double-sided adhesive tape on the reverse of the frame, taking care not to touch the adhesive surface.
- Align the frame carefully from one edge and press down progressively across the face of the trim, applying firm, even pressure for 30–60 seconds.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 2 hours before exposing the trim to significant vibration or temperature extremes.
⚠ Note: Do not attempt to reposition the frame after the adhesive has made contact with the original trim surface. If unsure of alignment, use masking tape to mark your position before final application. Ensure the original surround surface is completely dry and free of any silicone-based conditioner products, which can prevent adhesion.
