Remove the upper radiator hose clamp and disconnect inlet hose from the old connector.

Unbolt the old connector from the engine block (typically 2–3 bolts, 13mm socket). Remove gasket material completely.

Clean the mating surface on the engine block with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol.

Install a fresh gasket (included or sourced separately) onto the new connector.

Bolt the new connector to the engine block; torque to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) in a cross pattern.

Reconnect the inlet hose and tighten the clamp securely (not over-tight—aim for finger-tight plus ¼ turn).
