Installation Notes

Disconnect negative battery terminal and allow engine to cool completely.

Remove intake manifold cover and all vacuum hoses; label for reassembly.

Unbolt the intake manifold from the cylinder head; use a socket set and torque wrench.

Scrape away old gasket material with a plastic scraper; do not gouge the manifold or head surface.

Clean mounting surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth; allow to dry.

Install upper gasket onto the cylinder head, aligning all bolt holes.

Position intake manifold and install lower gasket simultaneously; hand-tighten bolts.

Torque bolts in a cross pattern to factory spec (typically 20–25 Nm for Land Rover / Jaguar applications).

Reconnect all vacuum hoses to their original positions; double-check hose routing against your label notes.
