Installation Notes
Difficulty: Easy · Estimated Time: 15–30 Minutes · Tools Required: None
- Open all doors fully and ensure the door sill surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, wax, or grease.
- Use the included surface prep wipe (or isopropyl alcohol) to thoroughly clean the sill area where the plate will be applied. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit each scuff plate without removing the adhesive backing to confirm alignment and position before committing.
- Starting from one end, carefully peel back a small section of the adhesive liner and press that end firmly into position.
- Slowly peel the remaining liner whilst pressing the plate down evenly across its full length, working out any air bubbles as you go.
- Apply firm, even pressure along the entire plate for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond fully.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before exposing to moisture or heavy use.
⚠ Note: Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C (50°F) as this can reduce adhesive effectiveness. Ensure surfaces are completely dry before application. Once bonded, do not attempt to reposition — the adhesive is designed for a permanent fit.
