Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Time: 45–90 minutes
- Allow engine to cool completely. Open coolant expansion tank cap slowly to release pressure.
- Place drain pan beneath thermostat housing and disconnect old hose at both connection points.
- Remove old hose clips or clamps. Note clip positions for reinstallation.
- Dry thermostat housing and radiator inlet connections with clean cloth.
- Position new hose, align connection points, and secure with stainless-steel hose clips.
- Refill coolant expansion tank to "Max" level with approved Land Rover coolant.
- Start engine, monitor temperature gauge, and check for leaks at both connections.
- Top up coolant as needed once engine reaches normal operating temperature.
⚠ Warning: Do not open coolant system on a hot engine—risk of scalding. Always allow 30+ minutes cool-down. Use genuine Land Rover coolant only; mixing brands can degrade hose internal chemistry. If coolant loss continues after installation, inspect radiator and water pump for secondary leaks.
