Installation Notes

- Confirm your BMW is equipped with the EVO iDrive system and note your factory display size (6.5", 8.8", or 10.2") before beginning.
- Power down the vehicle and disconnect the iDrive unit from the factory harness using the connectors provided in the installation kit.
- Connect the Wireless CarPlay Adapter inline between the factory harness and the iDrive unit using the supplied interface cables.
- If integrating an aftermarket reversing camera, route and connect the RCA interface cable to your camera output at this stage.
- Secure the adapter unit in a suitable location behind the dashboard or within the centre console void, ensuring no pinching of cables.
- Reconnect the vehicle power and follow the on-screen pairing wizard to connect your iPhone via Bluetooth for wireless CarPlay activation.
- Test all functions — navigation, media, voice control, and camera feed — before refitting any trim panels.
