- Begin with the vehicle parked and the interior at ambient temperature — avoid installation in extreme cold or direct sunlight, as this affects adhesive performance.
- Thoroughly clean the headrest adjustment button surround area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe. Remove all dust, oils, and residue. Allow to dry completely for at least 60 seconds.
- Dry-fit the chrome trim cover to the button surround before committing — confirm alignment, orientation, and clearance around the adjustment button itself.
- Peel back the protective film from the pre-applied adhesive tape on the reverse of the trim piece.
- Carefully align the trim to the surround and apply firm, even pressure for 30–60 seconds across the entire surface to activate the adhesive bond.
- Allow a minimum of 2 hours before applying any cleaning products to the area. Full adhesive cure is achieved after 24 hours.
⚠ Important: The automotive adhesive is strong and placement is largely permanent once bonded. Take your time with alignment during the dry-fit stage. Do not attempt to forcibly remove the trim after bonding, as this may affect the underlying surface finish.
