- Thoroughly clean the window surround area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or panel wipe solution. Remove all wax, grease, and residue. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
- Dry-fit each trim piece to the window surround without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm alignment and note the exact positioning — take your time here to ensure a level, flush result.
- If ambient temperature is below 15°C, gently warm the adhesive backing and the panel surface with a heat gun or hair dryer. This significantly improves initial bond strength.
- Peel the adhesive backing from the first trim piece. Starting from one end, carefully align and press the trim against the window surround, working progressively to avoid air bubbles or misalignment.
- Apply firm, even pressure along the full length of the trim for a minimum of 60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond. Repeat for all four pieces.
- Allow the adhesive to cure fully for at least 24 hours before exposing the vehicle to rain, a car wash, or extreme temperatures.
⚠ Note: Ensure panel surfaces are completely dry and free of contaminants before application. Attempting to fit on a wet or waxed surface will significantly reduce adhesion. Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure about panel preparation.
