- Thoroughly clean the centre control panel surface with an isopropyl alcohol wipe and allow to dry completely — any residue or moisture will compromise adhesion.
- Hold the trim piece against the installation area without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm the fit, alignment, and orientation before committing.
- Using a heat gun or hair dryer, gently warm the 3M adhesive backing on the trim piece for 20–30 seconds. This activates the adhesive and significantly improves bond strength.
- Carefully peel the adhesive backing, align the trim precisely with the panel edges, and press firmly into position starting from the centre outward.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface for 60 seconds. Avoid disturbing the trim for at least one hour to allow full adhesive cure.
⚠ Important: Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, and at room temperature before fitting. Do not install in cold or damp conditions as this will reduce adhesive performance. If in doubt, professional installation is recommended.
