- Begin with a clean, dry interior — park your Defender in a warm environment if possible, as adhesive bonds more effectively above 15°C.
- Using a microfibre cloth and isopropyl alcohol (IPA), thoroughly clean the door handle recess area on all four doors to remove any oils, dust, or wax residue.
- Allow the cleaned surfaces to dry completely for 2–3 minutes before proceeding.
- Trial-fit each cover without removing the adhesive backing to confirm correct orientation and alignment — the covers are shaped to sit flush with zero overhang.
- Peel the adhesive backing from the first cover and press firmly into position, applying sustained pressure across the full surface for 30–45 seconds.
- Repeat for all four door covers, working methodically around the cabin.
- Avoid operating the door handles under heavy load and keep the surfaces dry for a minimum of 72 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
⚠ Important: Do not expose the freshly installed covers to rain, car wash, or excessive moisture for at least 72 hours post-installation. Surface temperature below 10°C may reduce initial adhesive strength — allow the vehicle to warm up indoors if installing in cold conditions.
