- Ensure your Defender 110 is parked, engine off, and the centre console is at room temperature before beginning.
- Carefully grip each factory plastic A/C knob and pull firmly straight outward — the knobs are retained by a friction fit and will release without tools.
- Remove the factory audio trim ring using the same method, applying gentle but firm even pressure around the circumference.
- Align the new aluminum alloy A/C knobs with their respective spindles and press firmly until you feel and hear them seat fully into position.
- Position the audio circle trim ring over the audio control surround and press evenly around the edge until it sits flush and secure.
- Turn the climate controls through their full range of motion to confirm smooth, unobstructed operation before driving.
