- Open the Defender's rear tailgate and fold or remove any rear seat configurations as needed to access the full load bay area.
- Locate the existing OEM cargo anchor points and load loops in the boot — these are the primary attachment locations for the divider net.
- Attach the anchor hooks from the mounting hardware set to the designated load anchor points on both the floor and the upper load area brackets.
- Unroll and position the trunk divider net vertically across the desired separation point in the load bay, aligning the top and bottom edges with the hook attachment positions.
- Clip the net border to each anchor hook, working from one side to the other to ensure even tension across the full width of the net.
- Adjust the tensioning where applicable to ensure the net sits taut, upright, and flush — confirming there is no excess slack that could allow cargo movement.
- Close the tailgate and perform a brief check from the passenger cabin side to confirm the net is secure and correctly positioned before driving.
