Installation Guide
Tool-Free Adhesive Installation
Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 5–10 minutes
- Power off your vehicle and allow the interior to reach room temperature.
- Clean the existing gear shift surround with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Let dry completely (2–3 minutes).
- Carefully peel back the adhesive tape backing on the trim piece—expose only 25% initially.
- Align the trim with the top center of the gear shift housing and press firmly for 10 seconds.
- Gradually peel away the remaining backing and press the sides down with steady, even pressure.
- Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before using the gear shift mechanism.
- If repositioning is needed within the first 5 minutes, gently lift and realign—do not stretch the adhesive.
Note: Do not expose the trim to extreme heat (above 55°C) for 48 hours after installation. Ensure no moisture or debris is present on the mounting surface—poor surface prep is the leading cause of adhesive failure.
