- Begin with clean, dry door panels. Use an isopropyl alcohol wipe to degrease the surface around each window switch cluster — this ensures the adhesive bonds correctly and maximises long-term hold.
- Unpack all four trims and orient each piece correctly before removing any adhesive backing. Take a moment to dry-fit each trim over its corresponding switch cluster to confirm alignment.
- Peel the protective backing from the 3M adhesive on the first trim piece. Carefully position it over the switch cluster, aligning the cutouts precisely with each button before pressing down.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface of the trim for approximately 30 seconds. Work from the centre outward to eliminate any air pockets beneath the adhesive layer.
- Repeat for all four door panels. Allow 30–60 minutes before using the window switches, giving the adhesive time to fully cure at room temperature.
Note: Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C — the 3M adhesive requires adequate ambient warmth to bond effectively. If fitting in a cold garage, allow the vehicle interior to warm up naturally before installation. Do not stretch or force the trim pieces — they are precision-cut and should lay flat without pressure adjustment.
