Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Requires basic hand tools, jack, and jack stands. Mechanical aptitude recommended. Allow 2–3 hours per side.
Steps
- Raise vehicle safely on level ground; support with jack stands.
- Remove front wheel on service side.
- Unbolt and remove lower control arm from suspension frame and steering knuckle.
- Press or heat-extract old bushing from control arm using suitable tooling.
- Press new bushing into arm bore, ensuring square alignment.
- Reinstall control arm; torque all fasteners to Land Rover spec (typically 45–65 Nm for main pivot bolts).
- Repeat on opposite side.
- Lower vehicle and perform full suspension geometry check (4-wheel alignment recommended).
- Test drive at low speed; verify steering responsiveness and noise elimination.
