Installation Notes

This job requires basic mechanical knowledge, a trim-removal toolkit, and patience. If you're uncomfortable working inside door panels or disconnecting electrical connectors, we recommend having a qualified technician perform the replacement.

Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal (safety first).

Remove the interior door panel using a trim-removal tool. Carefully pry clips to avoid breaking plastic tabs.

Locate the actuator unit mounted to the inner door frame. You'll see the electrical connector and mounting bolts.

Unplug the connector by gently releasing the tab and sliding it away from the actuator.

Remove the 2–3 mounting bolts securing the actuator to the door frame using a socket wrench.

Slide out the old actuator and set it aside for recycling.

Install the new actuator in reverse order: align it on the mounting bracket, install bolts finger-tight, then torque to 10 Nm (7.4 ft-lbs).

Connect the electrical plug firmly until you hear a click.

Reinstall the door panel and reconnect the battery.

Test all lock/unlock functions using your fob and interior switches before reassembling trim.
