- Ensure the vehicle is parked and the gear selector is in the Park position before beginning installation.
- Thoroughly clean the gear head surface with an isopropyl alcohol wipe and allow it to dry completely — a clean surface is essential for maximum adhesion.
- Dry-fit the cover against the gear head to confirm alignment and fitment before removing the adhesive backing.
- Peel the protective layer from the pre-applied adhesive tape on the reverse of the cover.
- Carefully align the cover with the gear head and press firmly into position, holding for 30–60 seconds to allow the adhesive to bond.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface of the cover and avoid operating the gear selector for at least 30 minutes to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
⚠ Important: Do not install in temperatures below 10°C / 50°F as adhesive performance may be reduced. Avoid cleaning the surface with silicone-based products prior to installation — these leave a residue that prevents proper bonding. If the cover needs to be repositioned, do so within the first 10 seconds of initial placement.
