- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off and fully cooled. Open the bonnet and secure it in the open position.
- Using a plastic trim removal tool, carefully release the retaining clips securing the original front centre grille. Work methodically from one side to the other to avoid cracking the surrounding bumper trim.
- Gently pull the existing grille forward and away from the bumper aperture. Set it aside on a soft cloth to avoid scratching either the grille or your paintwork.
- Check the aperture for any debris or clips that may have broken free during removal. Replace any damaged OEM clips before proceeding.
- Align the new SVR Style Centre Grille with the aperture, ensuring the mounting tabs are correctly seated before applying pressure.
- Press firmly and evenly across the grille face until all retaining clips engage with an audible click. Check alignment from both sides before closing the bonnet.
- Step back and inspect the panel gaps. If any section appears misaligned, release and re-seat the relevant clip rather than forcing fitment.
⚠ Important: Verify your exact model year and trim level before purchasing. The 2014–2017 pre-facelift L494 Sport has a different grille aperture to the 2018+ facelift variant.
