Installation Guide

Disconnect battery negative terminal. Always isolate power before working near the front end.

Remove existing grille assembly. Unbolt the original grille surround (typically 6–8 fasteners). Carefully disconnect any wiring for headlamp surrounds if fitted.

Inspect mounting face. Clean any dirt, corrosion, or old sealant from the cross-member and body frame.

Position central grille panel. Align the main grille to the centre cross-member. Use the included brackets to pilot the alignment—do not tighten fully yet.

Install left and right surrounds. Slot the side panels into the grille surround. Verify even gaps (1–3 mm) top and bottom.

Secure all brackets. Tighten fasteners in a cross pattern (top-left, bottom-right, top-right, bottom-left) to 8–10 Nm. Avoid over-torquing, which may stress ABS.

Test fitment and finish. Check that the grille sits flush with the body panel and rotates no more than 1–2 mm under hand pressure.

Reconnect battery and test any integrated lighting. Verify headlamps and auxiliary lights function normally.
Important: If your Defender has been in an accident or the front cross-member is bent, have the frame geometry checked before installing this kit. Misalignment of the mounting face will result in panel gaps and potential rocking.
