Installation
Installation Overview
Difficulty: Intermediate
Estimated Time: 2–3 hours with a second person
Tools Required: Socket set (metric), torque wrench, wire strippers, electrical test light, jack and axle stands
Steps
- Raise and support the vehicle securely on level ground using axle stands.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to isolate the electrical system.
- Remove the original bumper by unbolting the attachment points at the chassis frame (typically 6–8 bolts).
- Carefully disconnect any existing light wiring by marking connections with tape for reference.
- Position the new stainless steel bumper assembly, aligning the mounting brackets with the frame attachment points.
- Install all mounting bolts hand-tight first, then torque to 35–45 Nm in a cross pattern.
- Route the pre-wired LED harness through the existing wiring loom behind the bumper.
- Connect the harness to your vehicle's lighting circuit (positive, negative, and ground as shown in the included diagram).
- Test LED functionality by turning on headlights and driving lights; use a test light to confirm continuity at each connection.
- Reinstall the battery terminal, lower the vehicle, and perform a final visual and functional inspection.
Important: Ensure the vehicle is fully supported on axle stands before working underneath. Do not rely on a jack alone. If unfamiliar with electrical connections, consult a qualified technician to avoid short circuits or battery drain.
