- Thoroughly clean the installation area on each door panel using an isopropyl alcohol wipe, removing all wax, grease, and dust. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
- Warm the pre-applied 3M adhesive strip on the reverse of each trim piece using a heat gun or hairdryer on a low setting for 15–20 seconds. This activates the adhesive for maximum bond strength, particularly important in cooler temperatures.
- Dry-fit each trim piece against the door panel without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm the alignment and profile match before committing to placement.
- Peel back the adhesive liner carefully and position the trim piece against the door, starting at one end and working progressively to avoid air pockets or misalignment.
- Apply firm, even pressure along the full length of each trim for at least 30 seconds to ensure full adhesive contact with the door surface.
- Allow a minimum of 24 hours before exposing the vehicle to water or washing. This curing period ensures a permanent, weather-resistant bond.
⚠ Important: Do not apply in direct sunlight or when panel surface temperature exceeds 40°C, as this can affect adhesive positioning. If you are uncertain about the installation process, professional fitting is recommended to ensure optimal results and preserve your vehicle's finish.
