📋 Installation Overview — Difficulty: Moderate · Estimated Time: 1.5–3 Hours
- Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal before beginning any work on the dashboard.
- Carefully remove the existing centre console trim panels using plastic trim tools to avoid cracking or scratching. The L322 dashboard is removable without specialist equipment but requires patience.
- Disconnect all connectors from the factory head unit — note or photograph each connection before removal.
- Slide out the original unit and install the PRO-S9 into the OEM aperture using the supplied mounting brackets. The unit is designed to sit flush within the factory recess.
- Connect the vehicle-specific wiring harness to the PRO-S9 — the lossless dock connector ensures no signal degradation across audio, CAN-Bus, and accessory feeds.
- Route the GPS antenna to the top of the dashboard or windscreen base for optimal satellite acquisition.
- Reconnect the battery, power on the unit, and verify steering wheel controls, rear camera, and vehicle data are functioning correctly before reassembling the trim.
- Refit all trim panels and confirm a clean, factory-finish installation.
