Remove Upper Hoses: Disconnect the upper radiator hose and expansion tank hose from the thermostat housing using a hose clamp tool or flathead screwdriver.

Unbolt Housing: Remove the bolts securing the old thermostat water pipe to the engine block (typically 2–3 fasteners). Keep bolts in a labeled container.

Clean Seating Surface: Wipe the engine block mounting surface with a lint-free cloth to remove old gasket material and debris.
