Installation Notes

Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 2–3 hours

Raise and support the vehicle securely on ramps or jack stands.
Remove the wheels and undertray to access the differential housing.
Locate the differential oil seals on the bearing carrier.
Carefully pry out the old seals using a seal removal tool or small flathead screwdriver—be gentle to avoid scarring the bore.
Clean the seal bore and bearing surface with a lint-free cloth and brake cleaner.
Apply a thin film of fresh differential oil around the outer edge of the new seal.
Using a seal driver or suitable mandrel, press the new seal evenly into the bore until fully seated.
Repeat for the second seal.
Reinstall the undertray, wheels, and lower the vehicle.
Start the engine and check for any leaks around the differential area after 10 minutes of idle running.
