Installation Notes

- Thoroughly clean and degrease the fuel cap surround area on your Defender using an isopropyl alcohol wipe. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
- Remove the backing from the pre-applied adhesive on the underside of the carbon cap cover, taking care not to touch the adhesive surface.
- Align the cap cover carefully over the factory fuel cap recess, ensuring the locking keyhole is correctly oriented for easy access.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface of the cover for 30–60 seconds to ensure a strong initial bond.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before operating the locking mechanism or exposing to water or extreme temperatures.
- Test the locking function with both included keys before use. Store the spare key in a safe location separate from your vehicle.
⚠ Note: Confirm your exact Defender variant (90, 110 or 130) and model year before installation. This cover is engineered specifically for the L663 generation (2020-onwards) and is not compatible with earlier Defender platforms. If in doubt, professional fitting is recommended.
