Installation Notes

- Open your Discovery 5's tailgate fully to gain clear access to the interior switch panel area.
- Clean the switch surround surface thoroughly using an alcohol wipe or isopropyl alcohol pad, removing any grease, dust, or residue. Allow to dry completely before proceeding.
- Test-fit the trim piece dry (without removing the adhesive backing) to confirm alignment and orientation. The trim should sit flush with no gaps.
- Peel the protective backing from the double-sided adhesive tape on the reverse of the trim.
- Align the trim carefully over the switch surround and press firmly and evenly across the entire surface for 30–60 seconds to ensure a secure bond.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 1–2 hours before handling the trim or closing the tailgate repeatedly.
⚠ Note: Ensure the mounting surface is completely clean and dry before applying. Installing in cold temperatures (below 10°C) may reduce initial adhesive strength — allow the vehicle interior to warm before fitting if possible.
