- Begin with the interior at room temperature. Avoid fitting in cold conditions as adhesive bonding performance is reduced below 15°C.
- Thoroughly clean the glove box handle surround area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or equivalent panel prep solution. Remove any dust, grease, or fingerprints and allow to dry completely.
- Before removing the adhesive backing, dry-fit the trim piece to confirm orientation and alignment. The trim should sit flush with no overhang on either side.
- Peel back the protective film from the adhesive backing on the trim piece. Take care not to touch the adhesive surface with your fingers.
- Align the trim carefully over the glove box handle surround and press firmly into place from the centre outward. Apply sustained pressure for 30–60 seconds across the full surface.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before subjecting the trim to heavy use or cleaning.
Please Note: Ensure the surface is completely clean and dry before application. Fitting over a dirty or oily surface will compromise adhesive strength and may result in the trim lifting over time. Do not use the glove box aggressively within the first 24 hours of installation.
