Installation Notes
Difficulty: Moderate · Estimated Time: 45–75 Minutes · Tools Required: Trim removal tools, T20/T25 Torx, panel clip pliers
- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off and cooled. Open the bonnet for better access to the upper grille mounting points.
- Using trim removal tools, carefully release the upper and lower bumper cover clips that retain the front fascia surround — take care not to crack surrounding trim.
- Disconnect any active grille shutter connectors if present on your specific variant (Dynamic SE and above may have active shutters — note the wiring routing before removal).
- Remove the factory grille by releasing all retaining clips and Torx screws along the grille perimeter, working from the centre outward.
- Offer up the new SV Gloss Black Grille, ensuring all mounting tabs align correctly with the factory aperture and bumper surround.
- Secure from the centre outward, pressing all clips fully home until you feel a positive click. Refit and tighten all Torx fasteners to OEM torque — do not overtighten.
- Reconnect any shutter or sensor connectors disturbed during removal. Refit the bumper cover clips and confirm flush alignment before closing the bonnet.
Note: This is a complete grille replacement, not an overlay. It is designed for vehicles that have not left the factory with an SV grille fitted. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct panel alignment and to avoid damage to the bumper surround or adjacent trim. If in doubt, consult a qualified Land Rover specialist.
