Installation Notes

- Disconnect battery negative terminal. Allow engine to cool to ambient temperature.
- Remove engine cover and heat shield above turbocharger inlet.
- Unbolt turbocharger flange from inlet manifold (5 × M8 bolts). Use a gasket scraper to remove all old gasket material and carbon.
- Wipe flange surfaces clean with degreaser and lint-free cloth. Ensure no debris remains.
- Position new gasket carefully. Align bolt holes before inserting fasteners.
- Install bolts hand-tight in a star pattern, then torque to 25 Nm (18 lbf-ft) in two passes.
- Reconnect battery and start engine. Listen for hissing or leaks at idle and 2000 rpm.
- Refit heat shield and engine cover. Road-test at normal driving pressure.
⚠️ Warning: Do not exceed gasket bolt torque—over-tightening can crack the manifold. If boost pressure gauge shows improvement after installation, check all fasteners remain tight after 50 miles of driving.
