Installation Notes

Drain coolant system to prevent spillage and contamination. Allow engine to cool fully before starting work.

Locate water pump outlet and the existing connector assembly on the front of the engine block.

Remove hose clamps and disconnect coolant hoses from both sides of the old connector.

Unbolt the connector from the water pump outlet (typically 1–2 bolts or a bracket clip).

Inspect the mating surface on the water pump; clean away any old gasket material or corrosion with a soft cloth.

Install the new O-ring seal onto the new connector (if not pre-installed); apply a thin layer of clean coolant to ease seating.

Position the new connector and secure with the original bolts, torqued to OEM spec (typically 15–20 Nm for aluminum).

Reconnect hoses and tighten clamps firmly; no leaks should be visible at this stage.

Refill coolant system with the correct specification (check your owner's manual for type and quantity).

Bleed air from the cooling system by running the engine at idle with the expansion cap open until coolant flows steadily.

Test for leaks at idle and under light throttle for 5–10 minutes; allow to cool and recheck coolant level.
