- Ensure the vehicle ignition is fully off and the key is removed before beginning any work.
- Using a trim removal tool, carefully prise away the centre console surround panel surrounding the existing climate control unit to avoid scratching the fascia.
- Locate and remove the screws or clips securing the factory climate control panel — typically T20 Torx fasteners on the L462 platform.
- Slide the OEM unit forward and disconnect the factory wiring harness connector(s) from the rear of the panel.
- Connect the included plug & play harness adapter to the factory connector, then connect the other end to the new AC upgrade screen unit.
- Slide the new unit into position, ensuring it seats flush against the surrounding trim before securing with the provided mounting hardware.
- Reattach the centre console surround panel, ensuring all clips are firmly engaged.
- Power on the vehicle and test all climate control functions including fan speed, temperature zones, and defrost settings before completing the installation.
