OEM Part Number Verification: Before ordering, confirm your vehicle's current actuator part number matches one of these: LR078729, LR078706, LR078749, LR078743 (front left/right) or LR078728, LR078705, LR078748, LR078742 (rear left/right). Inspect the connector block on the door frame—8-pin and 6-pin dual sockets confirm compatibility.
Installation

Disconnect the battery negative terminal and wait 30 seconds for the system to power down.

Open the door fully and locate the latch actuator assembly on the door frame (rear edge, inside the door cavity). Two bolts and one electrical connector secure it.

Disconnect the dual-socket electrical connector by gently pressing the release tab. Note the orientation of the 8-pin and 6-pin connectors.

Remove the two mounting bolts (typically 10mm or Torx) and slide the old actuator out of the frame.

Position the new actuator in the mounting holes, ensuring the spring latch faces inboard and the connector block aligns with the wiring harness.

Install mounting bolts and tighten to 25–30 Nm (18–22 ft-lb). Do not overtighten.

Connect the dual-socket electrical connector, ensuring both the 8-pin and 6-pin plugs click fully into place.

Reconnect the battery and test door lock/unlock function via the key fob and interior switch.

Verify the door closes smoothly and the latch engages fully. Test the secondary lock by pressing the external handle twice without unlocking.
⚠️ Important: Do not force connectors—they are keyed and will only fit one way. If resistance is felt, remove and re-examine orientation.
