Clean the surface thoroughly. Using isopropyl alcohol (70% or higher), wipe the headlight surround area where the trim will sit. Ensure no dust, wax, grease, or moisture remains — a clean surface is critical for maximum adhesive performance.

Test-fit each strip before bonding. Hold the trim piece against the lamp housing to confirm alignment and positioning. The strip should sit flush along the upper edge of the headlight or tail light unit.

Warm the adhesive tape. Using a heat gun or hair dryer, gently warm the 3M adhesive backing on the trim piece. Warming the lamp surround surface at the same time further activates the bond. This step significantly improves long-term adhesion.

Peel the 3M backing and bond. Remove the adhesive liner and carefully press the strip into position. Apply firm, even pressure along the full length for 30–60 seconds to ensure full contact.

Allow the bond to cure. Do not wash your vehicle, expose it to heavy rain, or apply pressure to the trim for at least 48 hours after fitting to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
