Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate · Estimated Time: 60–90 Minutes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and allow the vehicle's electrical system to rest for 5 minutes before beginning work.
- Using a trim removal tool, carefully pry away the factory centre console surround panel, starting from the lower edges and working upward to avoid clips snapping.
- Unscrew the factory head unit from its mounting bracket — typically four bolts accessible once the surround is removed.
- Disconnect all factory wiring harnesses and the aerial connector from the back of the OEM unit.
- Connect the supplied vehicle-specific wiring harness to the factory connectors — no cutting or splicing required.
- Route the GPS antenna to a position on the dashboard with line-of-sight to the sky. Secure the external microphone at a suitable position near the driver.
- Slide the new unit into the mounting bracket, connect all harnesses, and temporarily reconnect the battery to test power and function before finalising fitment.
- Once confirmed working, secure the unit fully, press the fascia surround panel back into place, and reattach the battery terminal permanently.
