Installation

Prepare: Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Safely raise the vehicle on axle stands. Remove the undertray and right wheel for access to the mount.

Support: Use a hydraulic jack with a wooden block under the sump to support the engine weight (do not over-tighten).

Remove fasteners: Unbolt the lower engine mount bolts from the subframe (typically two 13mm or 16mm fasteners). Mark bolt positions with tape.

Disconnect: Unbolt the upper mount bolt from the engine block or mount bracket. Slide the old mount free.

Install new mount: Position the new mount and hand-tighten all fasteners. Ensure the rubber is not twisted.

Torque: Tighten lower subframe bolts to 50–65 Nm (37–48 ft-lb). Tighten upper engine bolt to 45–55 Nm (33–41 ft-lb).

Check: Lower the vehicle slowly and verify no contact between engine and chassis. Reconnect the battery terminal.

Test drive: Take a short 10-minute loop at low speed. Engine should feel isolated; no clunking or unusual vibration.
⚠️ Important: Always lower the engine support jack gradually before final fastening. Over-tightening the support jack can distort the mount and cause premature failure. If you are not confident with engine work, have a qualified Land Rover technician perform the replacement.
