- Turn off the engine and allow the cabin to cool to room temperature for optimal adhesive bonding.
- Locate the air conditioning volume control knob on your Defender's dashboard.
- Clean the knob surface with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust and oils.
- Remove the backing from the adhesive strip on the aluminum trim piece.
- Align the trim with the knob and press firmly for 15–20 seconds, working from center outward to eliminate air bubbles.
- Allow adhesive to cure for 2–4 hours before operating the climate control system.
