Installation Notes
Difficulty: Easy · Estimated Time: 20–30 minutes · Tools Required: None
- Thoroughly clean the windscreen surround and A-pillar trim area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe. Remove all dust, wax, and residue — adhesion depends entirely on a clean, dry surface.
- Allow the surface to dry completely. In cold conditions, allow the vehicle exterior to reach at least 15°C before proceeding — this ensures maximum bond strength.
- Dry-fit the chrome strip without removing the adhesive backing to confirm alignment and positioning before committing.
- Peel back a small section of the adhesive liner from one end of the strip. Begin aligning from one corner of the windscreen surround, pressing firmly as you work along the length.
- Once fully positioned, apply firm, even pressure along the entire length of the strip for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond.
- Allow a minimum of 2 hours before driving or exposing to rain, to ensure the bond has cured fully.
Note: Do not apply in direct sunlight or on an extremely hot surface — this can cause the adhesive to cure too quickly and affect alignment. If removing the strip at any stage, use a plastic trim removal tool and apply gentle heat from a hair dryer to soften the adhesive rather than pulling forcefully.
