Installation Notes

Lift and support the vehicle on axle stands. Remove the wheel and brake caliper assembly from the affected side.

Remove the old boot by cutting or unclipping the failed rubber. Inspect the CV joint ball cage for damage; if pitted or worn, the joint itself may need replacement.

Clean the joint thoroughly with degreaser to remove all old grease and contamination. Dry completely before fitting the new boot.

Fit the new inner boot first, sliding it onto the shaft and securing it with the provided clamps. Ensure no twists in the rubber.

Pack the joint with fresh CV grease (typically NLGI Grade 2, 80–100g per joint). Use the correct type for your vehicle's specification.

Fit the outer boot and clamp securely. Leave a small air gap (typically 5–10mm) between the clamp and the boot seam to allow for suspension articulation.

Reassemble the caliper and wheel. Lower the vehicle and test-drive on a safe road to verify smooth operation.
⚠️ Important: Do not over-tighten the clamps—crushed rubber will fail prematurely. A light finger-tight turn past snug is sufficient. If the original joint shows internal wear (clicking under load), boot replacement alone will not resolve it; the joint will need replacement.
