- Thoroughly clean all four door frame channels with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry completely — this is the single most important step for long-term adhesion.
- Dry-fit each deflector to confirm alignment before removing any adhesive backing — check that the lower lip seats cleanly into the door channel and the profile follows the window line.
- Starting with the front left, peel back the 3M adhesive backing and press the deflector firmly into position from front to back, applying firm hand pressure along the entire length for 30–60 seconds.
- Repeat for the remaining three deflectors, working front-to-rear on each side for consistent alignment.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before operating windows repeatedly or washing the vehicle — this ensures full bond strength is achieved.
⚠ Note: Do not install in ambient temperatures below 10°C (50°F) — cold conditions significantly reduce 3M adhesive bond strength. If fitting in colder weather, warm the door frame area with a heat gun or hair dryer before applying. Ensure the door seal and frame surface are completely dry and free of wax or polish residue before fitting.
