Installation Notes
📋 Before You Start
Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 1–2 hours | Tools: Hose clamps, coolant drain pan, socket set

Cool the engine completely – do not work on a hot cooling system.

Remove radiator grille and plastic covers to access the upper hose connection at the thermostat housing.

Drain coolant into a clean container – approximately 3–4 liters of fluid will spill.

Disconnect the old upper hose from the thermostat housing and radiator inlet. Note hose routing.

Remove the lower hose from the radiator outlet and water pump connection. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor if fitted.

Clean the threaded ports on the thermostat housing, radiator, and water pump with a lint-free cloth.

Install the new upper hose – ensure it routes behind the intake manifold and does not contact hot surfaces.

Attach the lower hose to the radiator outlet first, then secure at the water pump. Reconnect the temperature sensor.

Tighten hose clamps gradually in a cross pattern – firm but not crushing the rubber.

Refill the coolant system and bleed air from the heater by running the engine briefly at idle with the heater on.

Check all connections for drips before returning the vehicle to service.
⚠️ Important: Do not overtighten hose clamps – excess compression can pinch or tear the rubber. Use OE coolant specification and refill to the cold-fill mark on the reservoir.
