Disconnect battery negative terminal and allow fuel pressure to bleed off via the fuel pump module schrader valve.

Remove fuel pump access panel from the fuel tank (location varies by model; consult your service manual).

Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector and fuel supply/return lines.

Remove fuel pump module retaining ring using the appropriate pump removal tool.

Lift pump module out of tank and set on clean workbench.
