Overview
If you own a Land Rover Freelander 2, Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport, Discovery 4, Range Rover Sport, or Range Rover Vogue built between 2006–2020 and beyond, you'll know that exhaust gas oxygen sensors (lambda sensors) are critical to engine management, fuel efficiency, and emissions compliance. A worn or failing sensor triggers check engine lights, rich-running conditions, and increased consumption.
This Partsmost Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor is an OEM-specification direct replacement that restores accurate exhaust gas feedback to your ECU. Available in both front (LR001370) and rear (LR028931) variants, it's engineered for 2.0–4.4 L petrol and 2.2 L diesel engines across multiple Land Rover and compatible applications (Volvo, Ford, Citroën, Peugeot models with matching sensor needs).
Fitted with a 6-pin connector, Bosch-equivalent sensing technology, and durable rubber/plastic construction, this sensor pairs seamlessly with your vehicle's existing harness and mounting. Backed by 12 months warranty and tested for thermal stability, it's the economical alternative to Land Rover OEM parts without compromise on reliability.

⚠ Before Purchasing: Verify your vehicle's original sensor part number (check under the bonnet or consult your owner's manual). Match it to front (LR001370 / Bosch 0 258 017 319) or rear (LR028931 / Bosch 0 258 010 527). If unsure, contact us with your VIN for rapid confirmation.
Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 20–30 minutes
-
Disconnect the battery negative terminal to disable the vehicle ECU and prevent electrical faults during sensor removal.
-
Locate the sensor on the exhaust manifold (front) or exhaust section below the vehicle (rear). Consult your model-specific guide if first-time.
-
Unplug the 6-pin connector by gently pressing the release clip and withdrawing the harness.
-
Unbolt the old sensor using a 22 mm oxygen sensor socket or open-end wrench. Mark its position for reference (front vs. rear).
-
Clean the sensor hole on the manifold/pipe with a wire brush to remove carbon deposits.
-
Apply a thin layer of anti-seize compound to the new sensor's thread (optional but recommended for future removal).
-
Install the new sensor hand-tight, then torque to 40–50 Nm (30–37 ft·lbs). Do not over-tighten; ceramic element is fragile.
-
Reconnect the 6-pin plug until it clicks into the harness. Verify the connector is fully seated.
-
Reconnect the battery and start the engine. The check engine light should clear within one drive cycle (5–10 minutes highway driving).
-
Use a diagnostic scanner to confirm fault codes are cleared (P0130–P0134 should disappear).
⚠ Do Not: Force the connector—it clips in from above. Do not tighten the sensor excessively; over-torquing cracks the sensor element. If the check engine light persists after 50 miles, the harness may need inspection or the sensor may need re-seating.
