Installation

Prepare the console. Remove any personal items from the center console. Wipe the mounting surface with a clean, dry cloth to ensure maximum adhesion.

Position the bracket. Place the bracket on the center console in your preferred location. Most owners mount it forward of the gear stick for optimal sight lines and reach.

Mark and pre-drill. Use the included template or bracket holes as a guide. Mark pilot holes with a permanent marker. Pre-drill with a 4mm bit (depth: 25mm) if using threaded inserts.

Secure the bracket. Insert stainless steel fasteners through the bracket and into the console substrate. Tighten in a cross pattern to 2.5 Nm. Do not over-tighten—aluminum can strip.

Install cradle adapters. Attach your phone cradle or GPS mount to the ball-joint head. Test full range of motion before deployment.

Cable management. Route any charging cables beneath the seat or through existing cable trays. Secure with cable ties if needed.

Test under load. Load your phone or radio into the mount and simulate driving conditions (bumps, turns, acceleration). Verify zero movement.
Important: If your Defender console features integrated cupholders or storage near the proposed mounting location, confirm fitment before drilling. This bracket occupies approximately 180mm × 100mm of surface area.
