Installation Notes
⏱ Estimated Time: 10–15 minutes | 🔧 Difficulty: Beginner
- Begin with the vehicle off and the interior at room temperature. Cold surfaces reduce adhesive bond strength — if installing in winter, allow the cabin to warm slightly first.
- Thoroughly clean the existing mode button surround area using an isopropyl alcohol wipe (70% or higher). Remove all dust, oils, and residue. Allow to dry completely — this is the most important step for long-term adhesion.
- Dry-fit the trim piece over the console surround without removing the adhesive backing. Confirm alignment around all button cutouts and edges before committing.
- Once satisfied with positioning, peel back the adhesive liner from the reverse of the trim piece. Do not touch the adhesive surface.
- Align the piece carefully from one end and press down progressively across the surface, applying firm, even pressure with your thumb or a soft cloth to eliminate air bubbles.
- Apply sustained pressure across the entire piece for 30–60 seconds. Avoid operating the buttons for at least one hour to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
⚠ Note: Do not use abrasive cleaners or silicone-based dressings on or around the fitment area prior to installation, as these leave residue that prevents proper adhesion. If the trim piece ever needs to be removed, apply gentle heat from a hairdryer to soften the adhesive before peeling slowly from one corner.
