Prepare your vehicle: Disconnect the negative battery terminal and allow the engine to cool completely.

Remove timing cover: Unbolt and carefully remove the front timing belt cover to access the crankshaft front pulley.

Remove crankshaft pulley: Use a pulley removal tool to extract the pulley without damaging the crankshaft.

Extract the old seal: Carefully pry out the worn seal using a seal removal tool or flat blade. Avoid scoring the seal surface on the crankshaft.

Clean the seal bore: Wipe the crankshaft and seal bore with a lint-free cloth. Remove all residual oil and debris.

Install the new seal: Lubricate the new seal lip lightly with fresh engine oil. Press it evenly into the bore using a seal installer tool, ensuring even depth.

Reinstall pulley: Align and bolt the crankshaft pulley back in place. Torque to manufacturer specifications.

Reassemble: Refit the timing cover, reconnect the battery, and run the engine at idle to confirm no oil leakage.
