Installation Guide
Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 1–2 Minutes

Locate the fuel filler door — Open the fuel door on the rear quarter panel or fuel filler flap inside the cabin.

Remove the old cap — Turn anticlockwise by hand. If stuck, wrap a cloth around it for grip and apply gentle downward pressure while turning.

Inspect the fuel neck — Wipe the threaded connection point clean with a dry cloth. Remove any dirt, rust, or fuel residue.

Install the new cap — Align the cap threads with the fuel neck opening and turn clockwise by hand until snug. Do not over-tighten.

Test the seal — The cap should feel secure with 0.25-turn resistance after hand-tightening. Start your engine and verify no fuel odours or check engine lights appear within 5 minutes.
⚠ Safety: Never attempt this work with the engine running or whilst smoking. Ensure the fuel tank is cool before removal. If you smell fuel after installation, the seal may be compromised—contact us immediately for a replacement.
