Disconnect the battery negative terminal to avoid accidental electrical contact and disable fuel pump.

Locate the solenoid on your engine's valve cover (mounted on the camshaft actuator assembly). Consult your service manual for exact position.

Remove the single 10mm bolt securing the solenoid to the actuator housing.
