Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate · Estimated Time: 60–90 minutes
- Confirm your PCM3.1 unit has a NAVI button on the control panel — this is required for activation. Units with only a CD-AUX button are not supported.
- Remove the factory head unit trim and carefully extract the PCM3.1 module to access the rear connectors.
- Connect the supplied CAN-Bus harness between the adapter module and the existing PCM3.1 wiring plugs.
- Route and secure the included external microphone to your preferred location on the A-pillar or overhead console.
- If your vehicle is equipped with Sirius Satellite Radio, contact us before installation — we will supply additional fixing screws to accommodate the alternate mounting arrangement.
- Reassemble the trim, power on the vehicle and follow the on-screen pairing prompt to connect your iPhone via Bluetooth.
Important: The included external microphone must be used in place of the factory microphone. The original OEM microphone is integrated with the vehicle's SOS emergency system and cannot be shared with the CarPlay adapter. The supplied microphone replicates all hands-free calling functions independently.
