Answer:No. It's for Apple carplay. You can use most radio app

Answer: Yes. a cable is needed to connect your phone to the device. You had better use your standard charging cable.

Question:Can this be mounted to the existing screen in the car (that does not have apple carplay?)

Answer:This is an external device only. It does not replace your existing screen. It is meant to be a supplemental one. You could try mounting this in a way that it would be in front of your existing screen, but if you have a back up camera that displays on your original screen, this would get in the way.

Question:Does this have a built in am/fm radio or only if i have a radio app installed on my phone?

Answer:It doesn't have an am/fm radio. It connects to your phone.

Question:How does this work in the heat, on a moto? i have an iphone 12 pro max that gets hot on the motorcycle and the display darkens and finally shuts off.

Answer:The unit has ventilation ports to accommodate for heat from the sun when placed on a dashboard.

Answer:This is an Apple CarPlay adapter- it supports Apple Maps, and selected other programs from iOS.

Question:Can I use this product for waze and simultaneously use my phone for making videos?

Answer:I've never tried to do that. However, I can use Google maps and also play Sirius simultaneously, so I imagine you could what you suggest.

Question: Does this device need a smart phone to use Waze?

Answer: Yes, you need a smartphone to do anything with this product. It does not act as a GPS by itself, it only adds Android Auto or Apple carplay functionality to your car. You still do need a phone that is compatible with either service.

Question: Can this turn on automatically when the car is turned on? or do i have to always manually press the power button?

Answer: It powers on with your ignition. No button required.

Question:Does it work with steering wheel controls?

Answer:No, it does not work with your steering-mounted controls.

Question:Does this work for a 2013 Ford Explorer xlt?

Answer:It works with any vehicle that has a 12V port.
