- Open the Defender 110's tailgate fully and locate the trunk door slot recess where the panel will be fitted.
- Using a clean microfibre cloth and isopropyl alcohol (IPA), thoroughly clean and degrease the mounting surface. Remove any dust, oils, or residue. Allow to dry completely — at least 3–5 minutes.
- Test-fit the panel without removing the adhesive backing to confirm alignment and positioning along the slot recess.
- Peel away the adhesive tape backing from the rear of the decorative panel, taking care not to touch the adhesive surface.
- Starting from one end, carefully align the panel and press firmly into position along the door slot, applying consistent pressure across the full length for 30–60 seconds.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before exposing to heavy moisture or loading the boot aggressively.
